In spite of the fact that it has been relatively dry on this side of the fence the wet side has been getting dumped on most of the last month.

This is nerve wracking to watch! So so lucky as you say that the skier happened along. That looked like some great snow.

that wasn't the buried victims partner that rescued him, just a passing skier who's own ski partner was just just ahead of him in the video.

According to TV news, the snowboarders partners were gone on down the mountain.

Not easy to know where your partner is in those a conditions unless you are sking the exact same line as your partner and have a visual on your partner, like the skiers were doing in that video.

That buried snowboarder was very lucky to be spotted by a skier who knew what to do and carried a shovel.
