There are a lot of facets to the situation. There is not a simple fix (e.g more money) by any means.

This was from a zoom meeting on Tuesday that was expanding on the ProPublica piece on how wildfire fighters are exiting. The pay is rotten, the support is poor and cancer and heart disease is elevated over the general population's risk.
