Re: WHO thread corrupted - fixed
I know backups only read the database data, but then write the data to a backup file... I am on a godaddy shared server and the backup reading/writing to another file may have temporarily overloaded the server causing some hiccup... Or I have an phpbb extension that is causing a problem... If problem continues, I will check those.

Ray, I don't know how you have things set up, but backups read data. It is hard to see how a read operation is going to corrupt data.
I'm switching over to a scheme where I use LVM snapshotting to do backups. Or more precisely, I run the backup on the snapshot.

I fixed the WHO thread... the last reply was corrupted... only lost that reply.
Found that the backup program was running midday and may have been overloading the shared server at that time... Changed backup to 2am...
Hopefully this will resolve the intermitent corruption problem.
