As titilating as it is to consider syphilis as the reason for his behavior I'm more inclined to think his behavior is instead because it is who he is. Yes, he's unraveling (by the minute) and no doubt the fears and pressures from all the court cases is fueling these rants, but still, the core of the rants is simply putting into words who he is.

Many are speculating that Guilty donnie’s descent into raving craziness, his outbursts, his irrational behavior, etc…. Is a result of the effects of syphilis.
