Pasco just did this last year!!!!!

Voter Approved Indoor/Outdoor Aquatic Facility
The voters of the Pasco Public Facilities District voted on Proposition No. 1 imposing a 2/10 of 1% Sales & Use Tax for the purpose of funding an Aquatics Facility and Competition Pool during a special election held in April 2022. The PPFD Ballet Measure was approved and certified by the Franklin County Auditor in May 2022.

The collection of the Sales & Use Tax commenced on January 1, 2023. The PPFD Board intends to allocate funds from the voter approved Sales & Use Tax consistent with RCW 82.12.048 to fund the building and operations of an Aquatics Facility and, in Phase 2, a competition pool.

A new plan would also not include a $21,000,000.00+ indoor heated /air conditioned 2 pool/spa/climbing wall/gym with gift shop and food service tourist attraction that property owners pay for and runs a $500,000 deficit per year, that property owners also pay for.

Then their children pay for it, then their children pay... Forever

The Tonasket pool plan seems like the best option, without the negative impact of a Metropolitan Park District that the FOP is proposing.

I got asked on a facebook post what would be the "new plan" for a pool that is mentioned on our yard signs.... Rick Lewis and I know each other as we are both members of the Winthrop Kiwanis club.

Rick Lewis
What's your "new plan"?

Ray Peterson
1. Tonasket option https://tonasketparks.org/
2. Sales tax option viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1288
3. One of the other two park district options that have 6 year cycle voter approved levies and elected boards.

That good enough for you???

Go to https://nopooltaxes.com and become informed.
Vote informed... Vote wisely...

Vote NO on Prop 1 and their permanent District with out future voter input!!!

P.S. See you at the Kiwanis meeting today... You want a sign for your yard?
