Heat map this morning was showing the fire about 2 miles north of the US/BC border.

Two distinct plumes were visible this morning from the same general area. Though it appeared to drift East quite a ways.

On a Macbook Pro with either Safari or Chrome I didn't need to download anything to view those pages.

Updated area this morning was 17000 hectares, or about 42000 acres.

David had it correct with the info he posted. I'll change the thread title so people don't think its close. When I clicked on David's link, it asked me to download an app before seeing what David posted.

When I called it in, the 911 lady said,

You mean that big plume.

Yes.

We've had several calls on it and units are responding.

The Eagle Bluff fire N of Loomis is blowing up this afternoon. That's approximately on the right bearing. There is also another large fire (Crater Creek) just to the W of that in BC near Keremeos. Again approximately on the right bearing, and probably a little closer.

From the Eightmile Bridge that fire is still quite a ways to the north, and appears well beyond the bend in the Chewuch N of Lake Creek.
